Prostate gland is part of the male reproductive system, and it is a walnut-sized gland found in males and is located below the bladder and in front of the rectum. It surrounds the urethra, the tube through which urine and semen exit the body. Its main function is to produce seminal fluid in order to transport sperm through the urethra.

Prostatitis: Prostatitis is a frequently painful condition that involves inflammation of the prostate and sometimes the areas around the prostate.

There are two main types of prostatitis:

Acute bacterial prostatitis (ABP) is inflammation of the prostate gland caused by bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella. The acute type happens suddenly and lasts for short time.

Chronic bacterial prostatitis (CBP) is a recurrent infection and inflammation of the prostate and urinary tract. Symptoms are less severe than those associated with acute bacterial prostatitis.

Causes:

Any bacteria that causes UTIs can cause prostatitis. Bacteria that commonly cause UTIs and prostatitis include:

• Proteus species
• Klebsiella species
• Escherichia coli

Symptoms:

Prostatitis signs and symptoms depend on the cause. They can include:

• Pain or burning sensation when urinating.
• Frequent urination, particularly at night.
• Urgent need to urinate.
• Cloudy urine.
• Bloody urine.
• Pain in the abdomen, groin or lower back
• Pain or discomfort of the penis or testicles
• Painful ejaculation

Indications:

Benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) occurs when cells of prostate gland began to multiply. The additional cells swell your prostate gland, which squeezes the urethra and limits the flow of urine. BPH is a common condition of men over the age of 50. The main symptoms of BPH include incomplete bladder emptying, Nocturnal enuresis, dribbling at the end of urine stream, incontinence, need to strain urinating, weak urinary stream, painful urination, bloody urine, puss in urine. Albicans but with no significant effects on Mycobacterium species by interfering with cell wall, mitochondrial, transcription and other cellular functions of bacteria, so HR 25 is very helpful in symptomatic relief and prevention of acute and chronic cystitis, prostatitis, urethritis. HR 25 has strong antioxidant activity and a potent inhibitor of oxygen radicals generated in the xanthine/xanthine oxidase system, and hydroxyl radicals produced in the Fenton-type reaction system.HR 25 is very helpful in edema, kidney weakness, urinary calculi. HR 25 has suppressed pro-inflammatory cytokines and reduced bladder weight, as well as stromal predominance, gene expression and pro-inflammatory cytokines of nonbacterial prostatitis. Formula with properties:

Chimaphila umb 2D: Burning and scalding during micturition, acute prostitis Loss of prostatic fluid. Prostatic enlargement and irritation.

Clematis Erec 2D: Testicles indurated with bruised feeling. Swelling of scrotum (Orchitis). Right half only. Troubles from suppressed gonorrhea. Violent erections with stitches in urethra. . Inability to pass all the urine.

Populus trem 2D: Severe tenesmus; painful scalding. Urine contains mucus and pus. Prostate enlarged. Pain behind pubis, at end of urination.

Pygeum africanum 1D: Male infertility which is due to functional disturbance of prostate. Increase sperm count.

Urtica Dio 1D:  Sleeplessness due to irritation in testes.
